    When people want to form healthy habits, they usually find it difficult at the first place, but when they keep doing hat and maintain that desirable behavior for sometime, that behavior eventually become a habit.     Since I left the office pretty late today, I planned to catch a taxi home. However, when I was about to wave for one, my eyes caught a glimpse of my regular bus. From there, my legs operated on auto-pilot. 5 seconds later, i was sitting on the bus!

    How can we create our own "triggers" to get ourselves to do the habits we want? For example, if you want to study Korean, can you create triggers that prompt you to study? Memrise has added an icon to my phone that tickles me if I have flashcards that need reviewing. Just seeing that little icon on my phone makes me think about studying. It is a trigger.
    Another trigger is every week I have class scheduled. Another is every week I meet with a tutor. All these things get me studying.
    What triggers do you have to get you studying? What triggers bring you to Mindpasta?

    Here is a Youtube interview of the author of "Hooked". It is good to understand what the companies are doing to get you, the consumer, to return and use their products. It is as important as understanding techniques salesmen use to sell you things. Know what you are up against!

    Julia I guess I do feel "rewarded" when I can post something I am studying and "invested" because I post here (and return to check if the post got comments). Hmm. Strange new world - social media. I do not need to strike up a conversation with a particular individual. I can just walk in and shout out loud to the whole room. "Ta da! I'm here. This is what I am thinking about today!" Sort of odd, considering how shy I am in real life.
