This is my university (Howard College campus) :

I wonder if there was symbolism involved in the burning of the law library:

There were flooded bathrooms at university again today. Why do people do that? Why not use the energy it takes to break toilets and overturn bins in a more productive manner? We're in the third week of lectures and people are still protesting.

This is terrible. The electricity was off for almost 6.5 hours yesterday. It was off for about 3.5 hours this morning, and my mom has just told me it will go off again this evening (probably for at least 2 hours, I won't be surprised if it's longer). We're expecting it to go off for at least 2 hours tomorrow evening, and Sunday will be the same as today. I really need to finish my degree and get a job in Korea.

The electricity might go off again soon. Hopefully it won't (considering it was off for about/almost six and a half hours yesterday evening/last night) but we're expecting it to.

Sam 박셔린 젠나, what's the power source of your community/city/country???
강젠나 South Africa mostly uses coal. Lots of places (including Durban, where I live) could use solar power, but it has to be set up privately and it's expensive to set up. My family has solar heating for hot water, but we don't have solar power yet. Hopefully we will in the future.

The electricity has been off for more than two hours. We've been told it will come on for one and a half hours... and then go off for another two to two and a half hours. It's very inconvenient for me (especially in the evening) but it's extra terrible for businesses that rely on electricity. Some bigger businesses have generators (we had power cuts for a long time a few years ago) but most can't afford it.

We're having power cuts again. The electricity went off for two hours yesterday evening, and we're expecting it to go off again for two hours this morning. Two hours of no electricity per day (probably everyday for a while).

It seems like I'm officially not going to have electricity for two hours a day, everyday. Apparently it's so that there'll be enough electricity when people come here on holiday - which will be soon, so hopefully this won't last more than a few weeks.

The electricity is off for the fourth time within a week. I think this is going to be a regular thing. At least it's not as bad as it was a few years ago... yet. Four times for two hours at a time is bearable, but it would help if they kept to their schedule so we could plan ahead. It's also really inconvenient for the electricity to be off at this time (early evening, just as it's getting dark).

This is the third time the electrocity has been off in jist under a week. I think we might get regular load shedding again. At least it's not basically every day like it was a few years ago. This is the second day in a row, but the time before was almost a week ago.

I complain about the internet being slow, but having internet access at all is a luxury in South Africa.
