Can you express yourself well? What if someone could teach you how to express yourself better with the words you already know ... in any language including your native language? This book teaches techniques like creating "islands" - subjects about which you know many words and have practiced so you are comfortable. Then when you are in a conversation, you can direct it to the "island" where you can speak confidently.

Written by an opera singer who had to self-teach himself languages for his career, it is the first book that introduced me to many self-learning techniques. Polyglots complain it has "nothing new" to say, but for someone new to self-learning, this was very helpful. Book has just recently been released.

Dirty Korean. Those words you'd be too embarrassed to ask a teacher about. It made me blush in parts. Not worth purchasing, in my opinion. "A Rat's Tail" book of slang is a much better purchase.

The dwarf is Kim Bu-ri, the head of a family living in an impoverished neighborhood in the outskirts of Seoul, ironically named Happiness District, Paradise County. When the neighborhood goes into redevelopment, the dwarf’s home is demolished, and with it, the very foundation of his family’s life.
