So I told James it was an inconvenient time when I was just getting to bed at 7 am yesterday and he called wanting me to write a business letter for him in English. I got 5 hours sleep, the back to hunched over the pc trying to figure out verbs. James tried again 12 hours later. I told I am still confused about verbs and didn't have time for his request. He feels at a loss. He is sure I am the only person for the task. I feel burdened that I am making him unhappy by not complying. It seems like just doing the letter would be less trouble than worrying that I am upsetting James.
ack. I am not good at saying no.
and I really need a shower and some sleep ...
but it is Monday already and I still don't have verbs figured out

‘씁니다’, ‘써’ etc. can be analysed into ‘쓰+ㅂ니다’ and ‘쓰+어’.
because a basic style of these verbs’ form is ‘쓰다’.
    ‘ㅂ니다’ and ‘어’ are “endings”.
However, when we conjugate some verbs, a part of basic form of a verb,
there could sometimes be a peculiar euphony which is dropped out in Korean.
This is a kind of representative example like in the case of that if conjugating with “쓰다‘ will be turned into ’써‘.
As we know in case of ‘써’, when an ending starts with vowel, ‘어’, ‘으’ of the stem, ‘쓰’ should basically be omitted.
this is the same as ‘쓰+었+다’ can be ‘썼다’.
After ‘으’ of ‘쓰’ is of phoneme deletion, if vowel ‘어’ combines to the remainder of ‘쓰’, it becomes ‘써’.

So an ACTION VERB walks in on a meditation LINKING VERB and says "I am confused". Linking verb says "Exactly Dude. I express a state of being. Any time you hear a verb you can replace with a = sign, then that's me"
    I = CONFUSED. Absolutely!
As long as I am going to be confused, set it to music and let me dance and sing along!

Julia Some adjectives (usually color adjectives) are nominalized and used with the copula "이다".
    1. Without the copula "이다":
바나나는 노랗다. ba-na-na-neun no-rat-da.. "Bananas are yellow."
    2. With the copula "이다":
    바나나는 노란색이다. ba-na-na-neun no-ran-saek-i-da.. "Bananas are yellow-coloured."

Julia I swear, it is an evil plot! How am I suppose to understand this? But I have seen the weird thing where colors get "이다" stuck on them.

Please help... I'm just learning the verb principles for present, past and future tenses.
Here goes...all of them will be conjugated to pronoun "I"
This only applies for verbs ending with 아 (a) or 오 (o), followed by a consonant
Verb: to look for = 찾 (chaj)
    Present tense = 찾아요 (chaj+ayo=chajayo)
    Past tense = 찾았어요 (chaj+assoyo=chajassoyo)
Future tense = 찾을 거예요 (chaj+ul koyeyo)
