Indra @Smiles Jajaja yes they had a peculiar accent but they are good at pronunciation, they made and spanish album called "Recuerdos" (Memories)! if you want you can practice spanish here and search for a few post of spanish that i posted

we do not use formal for elders or whatsoever just because they are you know, elders.
but it's considered as a sign of politeness to do so^^
While Te quiero can be usually used for both romantic and non-romantic love (e.g. with family or friends), Te amo should be reserved to the one person who is your spouse or lover. It is generally inappropriate to say Te amo to your colleague or coworker
