Let's talk about the german word "süß". It has different meaning, depends on when you use it.
Du bist süß. - You are cute.
Das ist süß (von dir.) - That's sweet of you.
Das schmeckt süß. - It tastes sweet.
Das sieht süß aus. (food) - That looks sweet.
