ISIS is claiming the responsibility for the attack happened here in Manila last night. I don't want to believe for now that it is them until proven.
    I agree with this article.
"(ISIS) can claim anything they want as part of their propaganda. But the police will not bite right away their claims because we have to establish facts here in order to come up with a conclusion,"

In the Philippines, I see English as a language of power. The better one's ability to use English, the better one's chances of career advancement. It's used to increase one's marketability. How about in your country?
Hanna-Riikka In Finland we have two official languages, Finnish and Swedish. They're both taught at school along English, but not many actually need Swedish anywhere or know how to use it anymore. I think English is the language of power everywhere. It opens you many more doors career-wise. For example I work both in Finland and for international clients.

Sarah Jane yea. English is used to gain respectability and increase one's position everywhere since it's the medium of communication between people of different languages

"Kumusta" from the Spanish phrase ¿Cómo está?

    Kumusta? --What's up?
    Kumusta ka? --How are you?
    (don't use with old people)
Kumusta ka na? --How have you been?
Kumusta na po kayo? --How are you?
(polite version for older people) (Tagalog)
    How are you

I remember someone here (sorry, I can't remember who) asked why many Koreans go to the Philippines to study English. Look at what I saw in Yahoo! Haha!
Maybe, I should apply as an ESL teacher after graduation?
