Also my laptop is broken... I have ordered replacement parts online and it will be fixed next week. I saved over £100 buying parts myself versus having them ordered in by the shop!

I went searching for a new computer. My laptop is creaky old and since getting my smartphone, the darn phone software has taken over my laptop and causes it to crash or load really slowly. But the problem is that buying a computer is complicated. Which brand is OK? Which store will let me return it if the laptop has a problem? I bought the current laptop from Best Buy brand new, and paid for the extra protection, and yet when it turned out that the DVD drive didn't work, they would not replace it with a working drive.
Anyone have recommendations for reliable places to buy a new laptop in USA?

Today, my laptop is just being painfully crap. Like seriously crap. Usually it's great. Today, ever programme is crashing, things are freezing, and when it is working, it is doing so really slowly...
